Android 4.0 officially released on 2011 and its code name was Ice Cream Sandwich. 4.0 is updated form of 2.3 android, and its code name was "Gingerbread".
Android 2.3 code name is Gingerbread
Android 3.0 code name is Honeycomb
Android 4.0 code name is ce Cream Sandwich
Now its friendly version is in robotic form
